Movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani Review (RRKPK)

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani Review | Anumapa Chopra says: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s film is delicious eye-catching with a rebellious core.

“Underneath the blinding start power, overbearing opulence, and overblown production design. Karan Johar’s film has a generous, beating heart.”

The film has been directed by Karan Johar after a seven years long break. Stars Rankeer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. The movie was released in theaters on July 28, 2023.

Hindustan Times: Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani Review: Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh film is sweet but full of flaws

It has always seemed that Karan Johar’s films have always had humor and romance, and it has been proven to be the backbone of his every film. The rich families, love, romance, hatred, emotions and heartbreak, family values etc.

HT: “Yes, it does bring back the grandeur of Karan Johar cinema that we missed for long, but not without its fair share of flaw […]”

Rocky Randhawa, played by Ranveer Singh, is every bit the colourful, raucous person he is in real life. Rocky’s persona reflects the boisterous, campy, boombox-clutching boy whose cleavage consistently outperforms the fairer sex. Sparks ignite when Rocky finds an unlikely match in Rani (Alia Bhatt), who is the complete opposite of him. It doesn’t take long for these sparks from the past to be ignited. Emotions, sadness, drama, and normal cultural clashes between the two families begin.

Watching this Rocky scene reminds me perfectly of Bittoo from his debut film, “Band Baaja Baarat.”

The competition between the sophisticated Chatterjee family and the boisterous Randhawas sets the tone for some of the most amusing scenes. Karan chose the right cast of performers to showcase their brilliance in the film, and they all performed excellently.
