Madonna Hospitalized at “New York City Hospital” and following her stint in intensive care, Madonna postponed her tour dates.

The megastar was preparing to leave on her North American and European Celebration Tour, which was scheduled to begin in Canada in July.

Why Madonna Hospitalized and Where was she supposed to go?

The 40th anniversary ‘Celebration’ tour, which was scheduled to launch on July 15 in Vancouver, British Columbia, was supposed to be the pop icon’s next big step. The singer and actor fell ill on Saturday with a “serious bacterial infection,” but her management insisted she will recover fully.

A statement from Madonna’s Manager

“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
